In the beginning, there was nothing, and it was called Oblivion. In the immensity of the void, the essence of nothing knew themselves and knew nothing else and were happy. But from their awareness was born two others – Infinity and Eternity. Siblings, embodying the sense of forever in duration and extent. And the three of them existed in nonexistence for an unknowable period, perhaps an instant and perhaps for longer than the mind can conceive.

And then, out of curiosity, Infinity and Eternity summoned energies and created a brief, small island of existence in the endless void, comprised of everything they aren’t. Finite and defined, burning bright and fiercely in the shade of nothing. And Oblivion hated it. Reaching out, they snuffed this sacrilege from their presence. Thus, was how the Universe was created, and destroyed.

Infinity and Eternity were distraught, for they can loved their creation, and were furious at Oblivion. Secretly, they discovered that the essence of their creation had produced six concentrations of existence which persisted after its destruction. The essences of Space, Time, Reality, and Power coalesced into ingots, focal points of their power, but two others that Eternity and Infinity did not expect – Mind and Soul, together suggesting a new element which was unexpected. Using these six stones, they created another island of creation, and seeded into this island was the paradigm of the mind and soul stones, the concept of life.
