Description:

Zika virus was first documented in Rhesus monkey in Uganda. It was identified in humans in 1952 and so on.

Zika is a virus that is spread mostly by mosquitos and most humans who get it have mild symptoms. Zika can be passed from a pregnant woman to her fetus and can cause birth defects. There are currently no vaccine or medicine for Zika.

In 2016, there are cases still recorded in Columbia, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Haiti, and many more including the USA.
