Industrial Revolution (jan 1, 1750 – dec 31, 1850)

Description:

The Industrial Revolution was a period in time where the production of goods switched from hand production methods to machine production methods. This Revolution started in Great Britain in 1750 and eventually spread throughout the world. Instead of using human, animal, wood, or water power we now used coal. By switching what our source of energy is we could now have products be made faster and factories can be anywhere. On the other hand we need the working class to mine the coal, the working conditions were terrible at the time. Many machines were improved such as the steam engine or the power loom. This made it possible to get more done faster but the machines could be dangerous and lots of fuel was needed. Transportation also improved there was now turnpikes, canals, and innovations in locomotives. The improvement of transportation caused trade to become faster, people and ideas to be spread, and diseases to be spread throughout Europe.
