Abbasid (nov 1, 750 – oct 2, 1258)
Description:
The Abbasid came into power after they joined with the Malawi, killed off the Umayyads, and took all their lands. The Abbasids pushed for centralized imperial order, were less tolerant of Shiism, expanded bureaucratic rules, collected more revenue from further away parts of the empire and moved the capital from Damascus to Baghdad. The Abbasids had a lot of difficulty communicating and moving troops due to the empire being too big, they couldn’t establish a “right way” of determining succession, and the agricultural economy blundered.
