Graeco-Roman Period (jan 1, 332 BC – jan 1, 395)
Description:
This period marks the end of the Persian rule, due to Alexander the Great conquering Egypt. Greek becomes the official language of the government, but Demotic is still widely used, especially by Egyptians and lesser administrative offices. Romans take over the higher powers, while Egyptians occupy the lower powers.
