Mexican Revolution (nov 20, 1910 – nov 1, 1920)
Description:
The Mexican Revolution in 1910-1920 began due to the opposition of the Mexican President, Porfirio Diaz. He was in power for 30 years till he ran for a democratic election, losing to Francisco Madero but ultimately imprisoned Madero and declared himself the winner.
The main Reasons for the Revolution:
-Diaz's dictatorship
-The great distinction over the Poor and Rich
-The exploitation of workers
Big players:
-Francisco Madero
-Pancho Villa
-Emiliano Zapata
They were successful in overthrowing DIaz, who fled and remained exile till his death in 1915.
Results:
New Constitution and no president ever ruled as long as Diaz.
