The Enlightenment (nov 14, 1770 – may 20, 1800)
Description:
The Enlightenment was a philosophical movement that lasted from the late 1700th and the early 1800th. This new way of thinking emphasized reason, individualism, skepticism, promoted reason, liberty and the scientific method. This was the liberalism of this time. During this time, most people never questioned the government or god. All of the actions from the government were justified by the saying "this is god's will".
