Nicolaus Copernicus (feb 19, 1473 – apr 29, 1543)
Description:
Copernicus was one of the handfuls of coined "natural philosophers" who contributed to the Scientific Revolution. His most notable theory that he brought into the mainstream was the idea of heliocentrism, the idea that the sun was the center of the universe rather than the Earth, and his analysis and theorizing would eventually lead to having a greater impact on future astronomical studies.
