The Great Migration on the Oregon Trail (jan 1, 1811 – dec 31, 1840)
Description:
Some people started working on the trails in 1811, and they finished most of the trails around 1840. Trips on the Oregon Trail took around 6 months going around 15 miles a day. Men usually steered the wagon and hunted while the women usually cared for the children, washed clothes, and made meals. They had to travel through rain, snow, storms, deserts, etc without stopping.
