Greece is located in the far southern end of Europe. The Greek's practiced Judaism and Christianity. The Greek empire had many different types of governments such as Democracy, Monarchy, and oligarchy. Some major leaders of ancient Greece were Alexander the Great and Socrates. Alexander the Great is known for being a really good leader. He is one that led Greek to one of there biggest achievements. He led Greece to take over all of Persia. A big thing Greece is known for is there architecture. It has even come to America. An Example is the White House. Another achievement Ancient Greece had was math and science. They also fought two hard wars, the Persian war and the Peloponnesian war. 775 BC First Olympic Games. 490 BC Battle of Marathon-Greece versus Persia. 1250 Trojan War. 1000 BC End of Mycenaean Civilization. Greek Empire 776 BC - 323 AD.
