Henry S Pritchett (apr 16, 1857 – aug 28, 1939)
Henry S Pritchett was the First President of the National Society for the promotion of Industrial Education. He also served as the President of MIT from 1900 to 1906. The aim of the Society was to focus public attention on the value of an educational system which would prepare boys and girls to enter industrial pursuits. The Society was also very important in bringing many bill proposals to congress.
