Slavery (jan 1, 1661 – jan 1, 1708)
Description:
A system of forced labor where individuals are owned as property, stripped of rights, and compelled to work under threat of abuse. Historically global, it involved millions through war, debt, or the Trans-Atlantic trade to drive agricultural and economic production. While legally abolished worldwide by the late 20th century, forms of modern slavery still exist.
