Description:
A 14th-century English theologian and philosopher who challenged the authority of the Catholic Church. His followers, known as the Lollards, advocated for religious reform based on scripture and a simpler form of Christianity. The Lollards translated the Bible into English and spread Wycliffe's teachings throughout England.
