Seven Years' War (oct 1, 1754 – aug 1, 1763)
Description:
A global conflict between 1756 and 1763, primarily fought between Great Britain and France over territorial and commercial dominance. It involved major European powers and resulted in significant territorial shifts, particularly in North America and India. The war concluded with the Treaty of Paris, which ceded vast territories to Great Britain. Began as the "French and Indian War" in North America in 1754. Evolved into a war on the European continent, resulting from the alliance structure developed in the Diplomatic Revolution, and ending with Russia's surprise switch to an alliance with Prussia and a confirmation of Prussia's hold on Silesia.
