Japan's Occupation (jan 1, 1945 – jan 1, 1952)
Description:
Although not directly tied to the Cold War, the United States occupation of Japan allowed for them to adopt the same political and economic styles of the United States. As for the Cold War, I guess you could say that the United States occupation of Japan was a way of claiming territory and not allowing communism to spread to it.
