Description:
Jorge Ubico is reelected for the third time and the student discontent grows. One year later, student and teacher demand a university autonomy with a threat of a "Huelga general", Ubico close the unique university, this makes that student leaders call a manifestation wich joins people of the streets, student, teachers and other more people to demand the resignation of Jorge Ubico. around the palace of the government. Ubico suppresses the manifestation with phosphorus bombs and the next day it declares the "Huelga General" against the dictatorship. Jorge Ubico delegates the command to Federico Ponce Vaides.
