Cuban Missile Crisis (oct 16, 1962 – oct 28, 1962)

Description:

When the Soviet Union installed missiles in Cuba, the United States was threatened with Cuba only being 90 miles away from the coast of Florida. JFK decided to put a naval blockade around Cuba and was prepared to use military force if needed. However this whole disaster was avoided when the U.S. agreed with the Soviets Leaders offer to remove the Cuban missiles in exchange for the U.S to promise not to invade Cuba.
