The Stock Market Crash was an event spanning over four days in October where the DOW Jones Industrial Average dropped 25% and lost $30 billion in market value ($396 billion today). Investors sold 12.9 million shares of stock in one day, triple the usual amount. This crash led to destruction of confidence in Wall Street Investments and let to the Great Depression.
