Description:
At the beginning thousands of protesters took to the streets, because they wanted a more Democratic political system.
-Hungary withdrew from the Warsaw Pact.
-Soviet tanks went against the protesters.
-200,000 people flew as refugees.
-The United States was very inactive during the protesting process.
-The US supported the liberation of people in communist nations.
