Battle of the Bulge (dec 16, 1944 – jan 25, 1945)
Description:
The Battle of the Bulge was a major battle between the US and Germany, in which the US was able to win, despite lack of clothing in harsh temperatures, and supply shortages. On the Western front, the allies brought enough losses onto the German army that they weren't able to launch further offensive weapons. Meanwhile, the Soviets had launched enough offensives to make their way through Poland, the Balkan peninsula, and most of Eastern Europe. This was a turning point because it greatly wounded the Axis Powers in the War.
