Battle of Iwo Jima (feb 19, 1945 – mar 26, 1945)
Description:
Just before their overcoming over Germany, the US had to conquer and defeat the Japanese. They travelled and fought against the Japanese, and although there were many casualties for both sides, the fall of Japan was already in sight. For the US, this win helped them conquer area from imperial Japan and gave them the confidence to finally win over the revolution and eventually win WWII.
