Battle of the Atlantic (sep 3, 1939 – may 8, 1945)
Description:
Being the longest battle of WW2, it began immediately after the British declaration of war upon Germany. Control of the Atlantic's sea routes was being fought over by the Allies and the Central Powers. Ended with Germany's surrender to the Allies in 1945.
