Battle of the Atlantic (23h 15min, sep 2, 1939 y – may 8, 1945)
Description:
During this battle, allied navies attempted to fight off the navies of Nazi Germany and Italy. The U-Boats of the Germans were very difficult to detect and fight off. Around 1940, radar began to be used to detect German U-Boats, which eventually was enough to overcome the onslaught of the Nazis in the Atlantic. This development of technology is arguably what granted the allies the upper hand in the war.
