Description:
This first-time mass production of the steel in the U.S. by Carnegie and the Carnegie Steel Company was a tremendous impact and success of the Gilded Age. Without Carnegie's success of producing steel inexpensively and purely; cars, planes, skyscrapers, and even space travel would never have been possible. Unfortunately, the exact day of this is not known but, in August of 1875 was the month of this event.
