Description:
She was a Scottish Colonel Doctor, she served Canada as a nursing sister in the first world war. Then became a matron-chief, which means a women that manages domestic and medical arrangements.Soon after started to educate public health in McGill University for graduate nurses.Then the second war came, The Canadian Army wanted her back as a matron-chief. There,she managed corpses which was called The Canadian Women’s Army Corps. It was hard for the Nation to accept women in army, they usually stay at home and take of the family. Then she prove them wrong by contributing in the war and showed her efforts as a women, accomplished what she did and became a Colonel upon men.
