Great Plague of Marseille (dec 2, 1720 – jan 30, 1722)
Description:
This plague arrived in France in around 1720. It killed almost 100,000 people in the city alone. it wasn't an outbreak of bubonic, but of another disease. It finally stopped spreading after the death penalty was initiated for anyone communicating with outside areas.
