Age 30-65: HPV Test and Pap Test (aug 25, 2030 – may 25, 2065)

Description:

If I am still asymptomatic for Cervical cancer, then the pap test must be continued every 5 years, but now there must be an inclusion of a HPV test. Furthermore, the HPV test detects the presence of human papillomavirus, a virus that can lead to the development of genital warts, abnormal cervical cells or cervical cancer. My future doctor will gently insert an instrument called a speculum into my vagina. The speculum holds the walls of the vagina apart so that your doctor can easily see your cervix. Then, the doctor will take samples of my cervical cells using a soft brush and a flat scraping device called a spatula in order to examine the cells for abnormalities.
