Civil War (oct 1, 1917 – oct 1, 1922)
Description:
The civil war started a little bit earlier than the revolution was over, when groups formed that were against Bolsheviks. Country devided into two groups Whites, and Reds. Reds consisted Bolsheviks, and the Whites consited monarchists, militarists, and for some time, foreign nations. When Nicholas II fell, many parts of the Russian empire decided to declare their own independence. For instance, Finland did in March 1918, who soon started their own civil war. The Whites were helped by Germans to push back other groups and within artillery range.
