Description:
German forces fight Russian forces at the city of Stalingrad, in one of the bloodiest battles of the war. The German advance, which had been slowing down, is completely halted here, and the fighting continues for months. Finally, after constant combat, the Russian forces rout the Germans, and win the first Russian victory of the war. The German forces suffer huge casualties in the battle, and this battle is seen as where the German military truly began to falter. The Russians use this battle in propaganda across the country, and morale of all countries in the Allied Coalition is increased.
