Kingdom of Pontus (may 23, 281 BC – jun 28, 62 BC)
Description:
Ruled by a dynasty descendant from the Achaemenid which become Hellinised following the conquests of Alexander. Famously ruled over by Mithridates VI Eupator who becomes one of the late Roman Republic's greatest enemies. It is finally subjected as a Roman Province in 62 BC by Pompey the Great in his famously exstavangant Pro-consulship.
