Speculation of Mars

Description:
Before we had proof of another planet, scientists began to speculate the existence of Mars and/or other life forms.
There was no technology to obtain photographs of Mars at this time. Images from this era are characterized as drawings and sketches, in black and white color. We can see random marks that reflect the scientists' mathematical measurements in imagining the planet. Generally, there was little detail to base off the content of the images except for imagination.
