Model Change Improvement (feb 5, 2018 – apr 2, 2018)
Description:
Will perform testing/discussions and adjustments of process improvement. Plan is to prepare line as quickly as possible with little downtime. Current downtime can take between 30 minutes to 1 hour. Improving model change process can reduce downtime to as little as 15 minutes. This will reduce OT, improve on time rate and save cost. This will require a combination of a specified area to prep next model parts and additional staff member to assist with line setup. Go Live April 2. ////
1) Designate Location for Model Prep
2) Train staff to prep Model setup
3) Train/utilize one staff (Open PO staff/support staff from adjacent line) to assist support staff for setup.
4)Measure success by taking average time of current setup compared to improved process setup.
