Washington's Presidency (apr 30, 1789 – mar 4, 1797)

Description:

Washington was a important man to America because of his involvement in government (1st President) and in military. He set up the Executive Branch of the government and made sure that no other branch could over power the others. He helped write the Constitution and was a federalist that wanted a centralized governments but also state governments as well. Washington was also a General in the Revolutionary War. He was known for his various military strategy.
