Description:
Considered as one of the most important battles of the Civil War, the Battle of Gettysburg was fought from July 1st to July 3rd, 1863. Even though the Union claimed victory, the battle involved the largest number of casualties of the entire war, with a total of 23,049 casualties and loses just on the Union side and an estimated 23,000-28,000 on the Confederate side.
