The War of Austrian Succession (dec 16, 1740 – oct 18, 1748)

Description:

In 1740, Fredrick The Great invaded Silesia in an attempt to seize it from the Austrian Empire. Prussia was seeking to expand its territory, but so were France and Britain. They too invaded Silesia and this conflict became a world war now involving India and North America. This conflict resulted in continuity in France's territory; they neither gained nor lost despite their pursuit of expansion. Prussia demonstrated historical change by claiming the German province Silesia to be part of its empire.
