valley forge (dec 19, 1777 – jun 19, 1778)
Description:
george Washington and his army needed a place to rest and settle
he chose valley forge
he chose it for two reasons
1. it was close to the city of Philadelphia so that he can monitor the British movements
2. the area was easily defendable near mount joy and misery so they could build forts.
the condition was that it was very cold some died and some didnt and theyre were little supply and food and traning but they survived and ready for battle to.
