Edict of Nantes (may 28, 1598 – dec 29, 1685)
Description:
The Edict of Nantes was signed in 1598, by Henry IV, and was in affect until it was revoked in 1685, by Louis XIV. The Edict of Nantes granted Protestants numerous rights, including the right to prayer within their homes without persecution.
