Whiskey rebellion (jan 1, 1791 – jan 1, 1794)

Description:

It was the first test of the power of the new us constitution that resulted in a victory. It took place in western pennsylvania because of a new tax of whiskey that was suggested by Hamilton to help pay off the national debt and, as a response, the farmers rebelled.
