Integration of European State Systems (jan 1, 1648 – 11h 48min, apr 25, 2024 y)
Description:
In the mid-1600s, especially after the Peace of Westphalia, many European communities and townships began to combine to create a central state government which we see today. Instead of dynasties or kingdoms, we see countries.
Significance: This European integration of state systems allowed for more power. The entire state could band together in defence from an attack. This is the government system we see all over the world today.
