Era of Good Feelings (Democratic-Republicans) (jan 1, 1816 – jan 1, 1829)
Description:
The Era of Good Feelings was a period of time after the War of 1812 in which the country was experiencing a period of national unity and pride. This political homogony was marked by a nearly unanimous victory by the Democratic-Republicans in the electoral college in 1820 and the fact that four Democratic-Republicans ran for the presidency in 1824. Furthermore, any remaining Federalists agreed to adopt James Monroe's policies, assuring complete dominance of the Democratic Republicans in Washington D.C.
