YMPCA (Young Men's Progressive Civic Association) In 1915, Henry Giessenbier along with 32 young men started YMPCA to serve the society.
In 1916, YMPCA was changed to Junior Citizens. (JCs or later as Jaycees).
Junior Chamber of Commerce were impressed by the work of JCs and asked them to adopt the name "Junior Chamber of Commerce" or later as "Junior Chamber".
By 1944, The movement had spread to 18 countries. Therefore officially named as "junior Chamber International" at Inter - American Conference, New Mexico.
