2nd Dec Electoral commission announces results, Jammeh concedes.
Dec 9th Jammeh says he now rejects the result, suggesting the commission was not 'independent and honest and reliable'.
13th Dec ECOWAS head of states travel to The Gambia to convince Jammeh to step down.
Dec 31st Jammeh accuses ECOWAS of declaring war.
10th Dec Army called upon and stationed strategically, mainly in Banjul and Serekunda.
Jan 17th Jammeh announces state of emergency.
Dec 19th Barrow is sworn in as President in the Gambian embassy in Senegal.
Dec 21st Jammeh steps down and flees.
Dec 19th ECOWAS invade The Gambia to restore democracy.
26th Jan Barrow returns to the Gambia.
Cold Period UN, AU, ECOWAS make threats against a defiant Jammeh. Petitions made by Jammeh to the supreme court. Any decision will take many months.
Just over a week from Jammeh declaring a state of emergency to Adama Barrow returning to country as president, ECOWAS troops remain.
