Portuguese traders arrive in Hong Kong during 1514, starting the trades. They are closely followed by the Dutch and the French.
Hong Kong becomes part of Britain at the end of the Opium War as part of an agreement.
Hong Kong was Given back to China on midnight of june 30th, 1997, after 156 years of British rule.
Han and Qin Dynasties: More people start arriving in Hong Kong after China gains control.
Neolithic Period (aka the Stone Age): The first settlers arrive in Hong Kong. There is evidence of Stone Age tools in Hong Kong.
The Opium War: A war related to British trades in China. Tt ended with the Treaty of Nanking.
The Arrow War: Also known as the second Opium War. It was about the legalizing the opium trade.
WWII: Japan invaded and occupied Hong Kong from late 1941, when the British surrendered to them, to their surrender of World War II during 1945.
2014 Hong Kong Protests: Also known as the umbrella revolution, they started when the NPCSC made a decision that young Hongkongers didn't like.
