Alfred Wegener's birth 1880
wegener gives his first lectures on his theory 1912
wegener publishes his work on the subject This includes evidence of climate, geographical, and fossil, evidence. 1915
Alfred Wegener sadly passes away on an expedition in Greenland 1930
Alfred Wegener first comes up with the theory of continental drift stating that the continents drift apart overtime. 1910
30 years after Wegener's tragic passing seafloor spreading was discovered and suddenly Wegener's theory was rocked back to earth. 1960
this time however it was slightly different from his original theory most prominent however was there was now a reason that the continents moved finally allowing Wegener to get the credit he deserves. 1960
2017-Me learning of Wegener's theory and finishing this project. Wegener's theory is still valid today partially due to how small his evidence pool was until 1960 the evidence he had was irrefutable but there just wasn't enough evidence for him to get any credibility than 30 years after his demise one more discovery was made that changed EVERYTHING.
seafloor spreading made it so that suddenly he wasn't some crack head that thought continents had been together because they looked like puzzle pieces he was now a genius who sadly like many others before and after him didn't get recognized till after there demise.
