1494- Suleiman the Magnificent was born, while his father, Selim, was still ruling over the Ottoman Empire.
1520- Suleiman take the throne and becomes the sultan.
1521- Suleiman starts his military conquests, attacking Istanbul. On the march there, the Janissaries took over the territories.
1522- The navy of the Ottoman empire was weak at first, but under command of Suleiman, it improved and became a strong force of Ottoman military.
1529- The first defeat of Suleiman, while they were attacking Vienna. Because of the strong walls and terrible weather, the Ottomans were unable to take over the city.
1533-1534- The sultan married Hurrem out of love, breaking the old traditions.
1566- Suleiman dies at the age of 72, during a siege in Szigetvar, Hungary. Even though he died, the Ottomans still won the battle.
1532- Suleiman the Magnificent attempted to attack Veinna again, only to fail when try to seize a town along the way called Guns.
1553- Started the third and last campaign against the Safavid Empire, and ending in 1555.
1543- Suleiman set a siege against the Habsburgs, after the death of its ruler, which Suleiman eventually won.
1538- The Ottomans invaded Moldavia, and managed to occupy the major cities.
