in 1976 IBM (yoshiro nakamastu) invented the floppy disk, this storage device cost around $20 for each floppy disk. the floppy disk was a flexible disk that you stuck into the computer to capture what you did so it wouldnt be forgotten.
in April of 1999 the flash drive was invented , it was invented by a man by the name of Dov morgan. this device was to be plugged into the USB port and you could save anything onto the flash drive and plug it up to another computer and pull up that information
in 1928 the magnetic tape was invented in Germany by a man by the name of Fritz Pfleumer. this device was sed to record sound and play it over and over again. this costed about $3 to $20 per gigabyte.
in 1982 the compact disk (CD) was invented. James Russell is the man that invented the CD, today we use CDs for playing music i our car radios and they used it in the same way back in the late 80s and the early 90s. the cd was around 10$
in 1964 a company by the name of PHILLIPS' create the cassette tape, this costs around an amount of $10. this storage device was mainly used for music before they had CD's
