Jamestown: The house of burgesses showed the right to peacefully assemble, which is the 1st amendment. May of 1619
Massachusetts: founded for religious freedom in 1620, 1st amendment freedom of religion.
Connecticut: had the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut which shows the 1st amendment / freedom of speech and assembly. In 1636.
Rhode Island: was founded for religious freedom which shows the 1st amendment, in 1636.
New York: was founded in 1664 as a colony and later in 1691 the people there were aloud to elect their legislature which shows freedom of speech and ties into the 9th and 10th amendment as well
New Jersey: was founded as a colony in 1664 and they had a very diverse society which shows religious freedom.
Pennsylvania: was founded in 1682, and in 1701 people there were aloud the right to elect their legislature which is freedom of speech and correlates to the 9th and 10th amendments.
Delaware: was founded in 1683 and was still under the general's rules from Pennsylvania, they were aloud to form their own government, which shows freedom of speech and assembly.
Maryland: was established in 1634 and had a religious problem, they were protecting the Catholics, which shows why we have freedom of religion. the 1st amendment.
The Carolinas: in one of the Carolinas people assembled and took over the government, which ties into the right to assemble, and the right to protest.
