The British finnaly realized that the colonists were mad, and decided to repeal the Stamp Act. Their rationale behind the passage of the of the Declaratory Act was to take away the colonists right of taxation. The colonists rejoiced over the repeal of the Stamp Act, and they ignored the Declaratory Act.
