1 gen 1776 anni - Common Sense Debut
(1776)
Descrizione:
As thoughts of a Revolution began to spread throughout the colonies, many still sought a peaceful resolution with Britain. Things changed drastically however, due to a pamphlet named "Common Sense", written by Thomas Paine. In the article, he clearly pointed out all reasons not to stay with Britain, and dismantled the arguments of those who would seek the peaceful argument. This document would be perhaps one of the most direct causes of a unanimous vote for independence during the Second Continental Congress, and is almost certainly one of the greatest influences on the Deceleration of Independence. This document would officiate the new stance that America had toward Britain, and would officiate their intention to self-govern in the absence of a just government.
