30 marzo 1973 anni - ATA Article: Education and the Learning Disabled Child
Descrizione:
The 1970s is where we see integration starting to come into schooling and so this article was to inform teachers of that education in order to assist in the transition.
The article begins with describing the different types of learning disabilities children may have.. It also states that teachers should stop using the label of "learning disabled" and start using the terms provided by parents, teachers and psychologists.
The article then goes on to answer popular questions that teachers during this time had like:
"How do I identify the learning disabled child? and "After the child has been identified, what should I do? To whom can I turn for help?
Essentially, this article is a "guide" for teachers regarding children with learning disabilities. It answers both of the above questions and provides examples on how to handle certain disabilities and what steps to take.
